NZ Contemporary China Research Centre (NZCCRC) The NZCCRC provides a national platform for research and publication on contemporary China, and for informed public discussion of New Zealand's engagement with that country. As a Centre in which all of New Zealand's universities are Members it offers a base for collaborative activity, including international conferences and other forums for scholarly discussion. It also plays a role in capability building on China with the business community and public sector organisations.
The Director will lead and build on the programme of work undertaken by the Centre in conjunction with the Centre's Executive Chair and Member Universities as well as contribute to research and teaching in a relevant academic unit.
The appointment of the Director will be on a 0.5 FTE, three year fixed-term basis with a concurrent permanent academic appointment at Associate Professor or Professor level. The appointee will move from the Director role into a full-time academic role at the completion of their term as Director.
