The University of Greenwich requires a Social Media Officer to work across our social media marketing projects. Reporting into the Senior Digital Marketing Manager (and working closely with the Central Marketing team and Faculty Marketing Leads), your key responsibilities will include day-to-day delivery of the UOG social media marketing strategy with a particular focus on maximizing content marketing opportunities (creation, gathering, distributing), across our brand level social media channels. You’ll oversee creation, delivery and subsequent monitoring of social media activity (integrating seamlessly with other disciplines),in order to reach, inspire, entertain, inform and convert prospective students.

You’re a results oriented, passionate social media marketer, with good writing, photography and Photoshop skills. Some exposure to paid advertising, and SEO would also be advantageous.  You’ll have a strong focus on generating and sharing high-quality content to keep prospects informed, and entertained.  You have a well-developed social media marketing skillset and maintain a data driven ‘test, learn, refine’ approach to continually optimise all work; capturing learnings to improve future activity.

It’s an exciting time for the Marketing Communications team. With a new CMO, changes in the sector, increased competition and a desire to raise the bar, we are looking for outstanding people who can help us deliver our mission of transforming lives through inspired teaching and research, through our embodying our values and delivering ‘work that works’.

Should you have any queries please contact our CMO, Iain Morrison on
