Job Description

The Program Manager manages the day-to-day operations for the Masters of Public Health (MPH), Master of Arts (MA)/Master of Science (MS), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs and assists in planning for the future of these programs. The Program Manager works closely with the faculty, students, and administration at the School of Public Health. This position manages curriculum development, student information, production of publications, updating of courses, syllabi, and course readers. This person, in conjunction with the Department Chair, Program Directors, and Directors of Professional and Academic Advising and Graduate Student Life, oversees curricular and department educational activities.

Required Skills

The Academic Program Administrator manages the day-to-day operations for the degree and certificate programs in the Department of Biostatistics. Programs include Masters of Public Health (MPH), the Master of Science (MS), and the Doctor of Philosophy and Master's program in Biostatistics (PhD/MA). The APA will be able to describe the program, policies and explain requirements to graduate students enrolled in their respectful degree and certificate programs. They will act as a facilitator on behalf of students, and will work closely with faculty and administration at the School of Public Health to help ensure student success and a quality program. This position manages admissions process for PhD/MA programs (in conjunction with CAS GRS Office), student information, local production of publications, updating of courses, syllabi, academic documents, student activities and advising of PhD/MA students on course selection and registration, and facilitates course development. This person, in conjunction with the Department Chair, Associate Chair of Education, Program Directors, Office of Career Services, and Directors of Professional and Academic Advising and Graduate Student Life, oversees curricular and department educational activities.
