Full time, permanent role

York St John is an ambitious, modern university at the heart of historic York and there has never been a more exciting time to join us.

After investing over £110 million in our campus and facilities, establishing nine schools across multiple expertise and developing a suite of attractive, contemporary courses, we have seen the biggest rise across all English universities in UCAS acceptances this year.

Central to our ambition is an absolute commitment to academic excellence.  Over a third of our research is already world leading or internationally excellent and we are going further and faster to enhance this, with collaborative opportunities to do work that makes a real world impact and promotes social justice.

We have also created the conditions for quality teaching to thrive.  We are third in the UK for the proportion of our academics with formal teaching qualifications, we are a consistent Stonewall Top 100 employer, and we hold the Social Enterprise Gold Mark for Responsible Business Practice.  Our strength lies in our community: renowned for our friendly, supportive environment, we will nurture your talent so that you can accomplish your ambitions.

As part of our expansion, we are recruiting for a Lecturer in Marketing.

The successful candidate must have a PhD/Doctorate (this may be nearing completion).  They should be able to teach across a range of business areas, and must have experience of teaching Marketing as a subject at HE level.  In addition candidates should, preferably, be able to contribute to other subject areas within the York Business School portfolio, such as Strategy.  The ability to teach Digital Marketing would also be advantageous.

If you would like to shape the story of a 175 year old institution with a fantastic future, we would love to hear from you.

Please note that CVs will not be accepted in place of the application form.

We are committed to diversity and inclusion within our workforce and welcome applications from all backgrounds.
