The School of Education has a long and distinctive history of progressive and socially engaged teaching and research in education. The School provides for the professional preparation of teachers in primary, secondary, community, vocational and higher education. The School also has a dedicated partnership with the newly established P‐12 Charles La Trobe College which is also home to Quantum Victoria – the Centre of Excellence in Science and Mathematics Education.
About the role – Level C academic in STEM/ STEAM Education
The School of Education at La Trobe University is seeking a committed and innovative academic with a world class reputation to join the School on the Bendigo campus. We are seeking applicants with a PhD and program of research, professional practice and evidence of quality teaching experience, with potential to lead innovation in STEM and STEAM education. We encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander teacher educators to apply.
Along with expertise in STEM and/or STEAM education we are interested in candidate with experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Indigenous Education
- Professional experience and school and community-based practice
- Educational leadership
- Learning sciences
- Inclusive Education
- Educational Psychology
Key elements of the position include on-campus and online teaching, advising and supervision of graduate student research, and collaborating with colleagues in interdisciplinary research initiatives, program development, support and implementation.
Applicants are invited to submit a curriculum vita, a statement outlining research, post-secondary teaching and leadership experience, evidence of collaboration, a brief description of present and aspiring contributions to the field, reprints of two (2) representative academic publications, and the names of and contact information for three referees.
