UniSA is the State’s only university to offer aviation at the tertiary level and provides education for future aviation leaders in piloting and aviation management, including an increasing emphasis on non-technical skills such as human factors, crew resource management, multi-crew cooperation and safety management. The School also has extensive collaborative research projects and industry links with Australian enterprises as well as with organisations and research institutions from around the world. In this role you will make a substantial contribution to the School’s teaching and leadership activities by undertaking high quality teaching, with increasing leadership responsibilities. You will be actively involved in the development and delivery of the Master programs in the areas of aviation management, human factors, occupational health and safety management, and related postgraduate coursework programs. You will also support the delivery of Bachelor of Aviation (Pilot) and Bachelor of Aviation (Management) programs.
Skills and Experience
To be eligible you will have a doctoral qualification in aviation human factors and safety management systems, or a postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline, or professional/industry experience within aviation including registration with an appropriate professional body.
You will also have the ability to undertake teaching duties including the design and preparation of teaching activities and resources using a range of contemporary teaching methodologies. To be successful you will have high level communications and organisation skills with proven experience as an effective collaborator.
