The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC), Corporate Engagement and Advancement is accountable for achieving the strategic goals of the University with regard to corporate engagement, advancement and the Macquarie University brand.
The Director will lead and drive the university-wide student recruitment strategy to enhance domestic undergraduate and postgraduate coursework enrolments, as well as developing and driving strategic engagement and partnerships with high schools, TAFE and other education providers. This is an exciting opportunity to engage effectively across the Office of the DVC and more broadly across the university, to assist in the development of integrated marketing campaigns, contribute to innovations in domestic entry pathways and develop data-driven insights, trend analysis and benchmarks to inform strategy and activities.The Director will work in partnership with Student Connect and the Widening Participation unit to effectively manage the student pipeline from enquiry to enrolment and will develop and grow a highly engaged team of student ambassadors and network of academics.
Reporting to the DVC, Corporate Engagement and Advancement, Professor David Wilkinson, the successful applicant will demonstrate extensive experience in: building and managing successful relationships, networks and partnerships; managing, leading and coaching a team of specialists in promoting educational programs and pathways; working in the tertiary education sector, particularly in student management;and implementing strategic and value-added sales strategies, plans and campaigns. Strong experience in managing significant strategic change in a sales or marketing function and an awareness and exposure to opportunities and challenges facing the higher education sector are critical to success. A postgraduate qualification, or equivalent experience in sales, marketing or a related discipline, is required.
