The University of Stirling is looking to appoint an outstanding candidate to the post of Director of Information Services.

Reporting to the University Secretary, the new Director of Information Services will develop and deliver an Information Strategy to meet the high expectations of an ambitious university. A senior manager and career IT professional with a strategic mind-set, s/he will have a full appreciation of the technological issues and opportunities faced by large and complex, research intensive institutions. S/he will provide leadership and management to the large IT services department and will be a major contributor to achieving the University’s broader corporate objectives. 

The successful candidate will have extensive experience of delivering modern, high quality and flexible information services and a track record of modernisation and service improvement. Candidates will be both visionary and pragmatic in their approach and will demonstrate strong interpersonal and inspirational leadership qualities, with a collegiate, customer focussed manner.
