APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR OF INTERNATIONALISATION & PARTNERSHIPS
The University of Stirling is looking to appoint an outstanding candidate to the newly created post of Director of Internationalisation & Partnerships.
Founded in 1967, Stirling was the first genuinely new university in the UK in 400 years and it has retained its pioneering spirit and passion for innovation. Stirling has an ambitious strategic plan that is looking to embed internationalisation in all aspects of university activity.
Reporting to the University Secretary, the new Director of Internationalisation and Partnerships will establish the scope and remit of the new directorate and develop an ambitious internationalisation strategy. S/he will lead across international partnerships, global learning and teaching, research, commercial activities, scholarship programmes, alumni relations, philanthropy and impact. S/he will provide strategic leadership to the function and work closely with other senior professional services and academic colleagues.
Candidates will possess excellent networking and influencing skills and will demonstrate a strategic approach to growth, coupled with a compelling vision for establishing clear operational milestones and coherence in internationalisation activity. S/he will possess a broad knowledge and prior experience of Higher Education internationalisation practices and operations, and bring a track record of success in these areas.
