Job Description

The primary purpose of the position is to manage administrative and programmatic activities among the research projects and the support cores of the Boston University Superfund Research Program (BUSRP - www.bu.edu/sph/busrp). The Project Manager will be a member of the Executive Committee of the BUSRP and will be expected to contribute ideas and suggestions to improve program operations and output. The position will include content development and maintenance of internal and external communications: BUSRP website and quarterly newsletter, internal communications between BUSRP project and core leaders as well as communications with partner organizations and agencies (e.g., NIEHS and EPA). The position also involves coordination and oversight of all components of the BUSRP grant renewal, including a mock study section, arranging meetings of project and core personnel, proofing core and project write-ups, and contributing to the writing of program reports. In addition to these responsibilities, the Project Manager will work closely with other Executive Committee members to evaluate, strategize, and create new activities with community, government, and science education partners. This position reports directly to Dr. Sherr (BUSRP PI) and collaborates with Drs. Scammell and Heiger-Bernays, the Community Engagement and Research Translation Core leaders, respectively. Participation in SRP-community events is generally required
