Working closely with the University’s President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shearer West, the Provost (UK) and DVC will lead on the strategic and operational planning for academic resources. The Provost will line manage Faculty Pro-Vice-Chancellors and work with senior colleagues to support the delivery of world-changing research, excellent teaching and an outstanding student experience.

Candidates for the post will be individuals of significant academic standing and experience with a successful track record of leadership, planning and resource management in a major academic institution. They will be committed to the achievement of world-class research and education and its application to society and will possess the necessary personal qualities, drive and enthusiasm to advance the University of Nottingham.
