Working within the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences, you will contribute to an area of Physical Geography and Environmental Sciences to further enhance research, enterprise and teaching. The department has particular strengths in Cold & Palaeo Environments and Environmental Geochemistry & Ecology and is a key member of the University's Extreme Environments multidisciplinary research theme. Candidates with expertise in environmental geochemistry or ecology in extreme environments are encouraged to apply though excellent applications from candidates across all physical geography backgrounds would be considered.
You must hold a first degree and it is desirable that you should be either qualified or soon to be qualified to Doctoral level in a relevant discipline, and have subject expertise in physical geography or environmental sciences with specialist knowledge gained through research activity, professional practice or consultancy. Proven ability to deliver high quality teaching within an appropriate field is essential. Membership (or eligibility for membership) of a relevant professional body (e.g. IEMA or CIEEM) is desirable.
