Working within the Department of Corporate and Executive Development you will join a team of highly qualified academics with a passion for enhancing the student experience particularly with part time and professional learners.  You will play a leading role in driving research informed and technology enabled learning and teaching particularly at postgraduate and senior levels. You will also be required undertake high quality research and you will make a significant contribution to the development of research and research income in the time leading to the next Research Excellence Framework (REF).

As an Associate Professor, you will take on a leading role in learning and teaching, programme management, research or enterprise activities working closely with the Head of Department.  Currently, the department has a particular requirement for an experienced teaching and learning specialist with experience to lead the development of Executive Leadership Programmes such as the Executive MBA and contribute to the leadership of programmes such as the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeships and Senior Leader Master’s Degree apprenticeships.  You’ll also be expected to support a number of academic staff as a line manager and mentor.  

You must have extensive subject expertise within leadership and management as evidenced by research and/or consultancy and be able to foster and develop collaborative links with academic, business, third sector and public sector partners.  As well as having a strong publication record and evidence of ability to generate research income, commensurate with the title of Associate Professor, you must have the ability to empower people in a professional environment.
