Position overview

Ranked as one of the world's leading law schools, the ANU College of Law is Australia's national law school. Across undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees, the ANU College of Law provides a unique understanding of current law and policy, with graduates working not only as lawyers, but as agents for social change, improving public policy and enhancing global diplomacy.  Distinguished by its relentless pursuit of excellence, the ANU College of Law attracts leading academics and outstanding students from Australia and around the world.  The College’s student body comprises undergraduate and postgraduate students, domestic and international, online and on campus.

The Student Administration Manager is a key leadership and management position within the ANU College of Law. It is a rewarding role, as you will oversee the student life-cycle from enrolment through to graduation, celebrating the success of the students’ learning journey.   You will lead an operational team of Program Coordinators and Administrators, and you will need to be a team motivator who can cultivate and develop staff to help nurture new ideas and lead new initiatives.

One of the key requirements of the role is to be passionate about providing an excellent service to students and academic staff. You will develop innovative and technology-enhanced solutions to improve the customer experience and realise efficiencies. You will also work closely with various departments across the University to ensure that College processes and innovations are complementary to University policy and processes.

Ideally you will come from a similar customer service leadership role, perhaps in another industry, but one where there are regulatory requirements that need to be met. You will bring demonstrated experience in developing and implementing best practice policies, procedures and operational plans to deliver a broad range of client services to wherever our students are: on campus, online, interstate or overseas.  Your outstanding leadership and communication skills, combined with your strategic insight, particularly an affinity with introducing technology solutions, will ensure success in this role.

This is a vibrant and key role, which is integral to the operations of the College. The position works closely with the central University divisions regarding student admission and administration and will play an active role in informing new University-wide policies and initiatives. We offer an excellent remuneration and benefits package, a friendly and collaborative work environment, generous leave entitlements, flexible working arrangements, generous superannuation and salary packaging arrangements including on-campus child care, car parking and a variety of other benefits.
