Under general to broad direction, the Indigenous Access and Outreach Project Officer is responsible for recruiting Indigenous students for Flinders University foundation studies, undergraduate and postgraduate courses, by managing the lead generation, nurture and conversion of prospective Indigenous students, coordinating a range of activities with external organisations, and undertaking project work to ensure the University achieves its Indigenous student enrollment targets.
The Indigenous Access and Outreach Project Officer will work directly with staff members in the Yunggorendi Student Engagement (YSE) team and, more broadly with staff in OISE. The incumbent will work closely with the Admissions/Prospective Students Office, Student Access Unit and Office of Communications and Engagement to develop and implement an Indigenous student recruitment plan, supporting the University to reach its strategic targets.
Some out-of-hours work (evenings and weekends) will be required. Due to the nature of the position opportunities for leave may be limited at some times between December to March and June to September. Intra and Interstate travel may be required.
