We are seeking to appoint a Research Project Manager/Senior Research Associate / Research Fellow with research experience in NIHR CLAHRC West, the Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care in the West, (https://clahrc-west.nihr.ac.uk) directed by Professor Jenny Donovan.
The post-holder will be based in Population Health Sciences within Bristol Medical School at the University of Bristol, with a desk in Whitefriars, Lewins Mead.
The role holder will manage the portfolio of research projects undertaken in the NIHR CLAHRC West programme and will be responsible for project management including overall co-ordination, monitoring and reporting. You will work closely with the CLAHRC West Manager, Deputy Director and Director to ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient programme of work. The post holder will work with all CLAHRC West staff to support, facilitate and monitor the progress of CLAHRC West projects, investigate current processes and systems and suggest, develop and implement improvements in collaboration with others.
The post holder will also work closely with staff in the CLAHRC West cross-cutting activities. These activities include Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPI/E) – working with the team to ensure PPIE is embedded across CLAHRC projects; Training and Capacity-building – working with the team to support the delivery of training; Communications – working with the comms manager to ensure appropriate and timely dissemination of project findings and maintaining the CLAHRC West publications’ database; and Implementation – working with the team to support activities leading to impact and implementation.
The post will suit an individual with extensive research project management experience in an academic setting, for example large externally-funded research programmes or multiple smaller research projects; a researcher with considerable research and administrative experience interested in taking up project management. Experience of multi-site and multi-disciplinary health-related research, and working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders in NHS, University, or local authority organisations will be an advantage.
