NTU is a great place to work.  We take care of our staff with flexible packages, career progression and opportunities. We value all our staff because we know that it takes a strong and diverse workforce to maintain the kind of success we have achieved.

Our award-winning research attracts international acclaim and we are proud of our strategic partnerships.  This is all down to the ability of our people to shape, create and innovate, wherever they work with us.

2017 has been a year full of prizes, publicity and recognition for the NTU community, culminating in our receipt of the prestigious University of the Year award. Along the way, we’ve recorded some of the highest student satisfaction levels in the country in the 2017 National Student Survey, and achieved the TEF gold standard for the quality of our teaching. We are also extremely proud to have been named Modern University of the Year in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018.

Our rise up the league tables, alongside a number of prestigious national awards, demonstrate the potential that creating and forging excellent partnerships while harnessing the talents of all our people, can bring. Join us in our mission to become a university of the future and take your career to the next level too.

Nottingham Trent University is the destination of choice for an increasingly diverse group of students and professionals. In developing new pathways through our courses, we are expanding our blended learning portfolio.
The aim of this new role is to scope and implement an institutional development plan for blended learning, focusing primarily on support for delivery of professional courses. The successful candidate will also ensure successful management of existing NTU online distance courses, run through a commercial partnership.

If you have experience of operating excellent online distance/blended courses, this could be a great opportunity for you to shape a successful delivery model. You will need to have high levels of personal organisation, agency and motivation, as well as excellent skills in leadership, networking and influencing. Experience in Higher Education management would be an advantage, particularly if this has involved cross-institutional working, or working with partners.

NTU prides itself on being an inclusive employer and encourages applications from candidates who represent the diversity of our local communities and wider society.

The post is offered as a one-year consultancy, although successful implementation of the plan is likely to create the opportunity for an operational leadership role beyond this.

If you would like to discuss this opportunity, please contact Jane McNeil on +44 (0)115 848 8202 or jane.mcneil@ntu.ac.uk.

Successful applicants will usually be appointed to the base of the advertised salary grade, except in justifiable circumstances.

This post is fixed term for 1 year. Candidates should provide a CV and covering letter which should be no longer than two sides of a4 paper as a single document, within the CV section of the application form.

We’re proud of how far we’ve come. Help us to go even further www.ntu.ac.uk.
