The salary will be paid at Grade 6, £33,518 - £39,992 per annum plus £2,923 per annum London Allowance.

This post will be Fixed Term Contract for 12 months in the first instance, with possibility to extend.

This is a full-time post.

We seek a flexible, collaborative and technically adept Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join the Data Analytics for Finance and Macro (DAFM) Research Centre at King’s Business School. DAFM (to be formally launched in April 2018) aims to promote rigorous analysis in finance and macroeconomics using advanced and theoretically rigorous quantitative methods considering the continuously changing economy and society, as well as the use of complex and large datasets. Areas of relevance include the design and performance of central banks and other economic policy institutions and their interaction with financial markets, financial institutions and firms. 

The Fellow will play a key role in the research of DAFM. The successful applicant will have research experience in one or more of the following areas: monetary policy, financial stability, macroprudential policy, central bank design, governance of macroeconomic policy institutions, and macroeconomics policy in general.  The successful applicant will have strong analytical and econometrics skills, a keen interest in current monetary/financial/fiscal policy issues and hold (or be near completion of) a PhD in economics, finance or a closely related field. The fellow will benefit from the close interaction with the members of the Economics and the Banking & Finance groups of King’s Business School.
