Full time, fixed term position

Western Sydney University is a major urban university spread over six campuses in Greater Western Sydney, a region of great opportunity, diversity, challenge and growth. The University has a strong connection to Greater Western Sydney, working with its communities and businesses to contribute to the region’s growth.

The successful applicant will be expected to be involved in a range of academic activities in the Hospitality, Marketing and Sport Discipline and as such the School is seeking an experienced academic with a background in digital marketing and marketing communications. In addition to this, applicants who also have a background in understanding the “customer experience” would be valuable.

You will be PHD qualified and an active researcher with a quality publication track record. Evidence of research supervision and the potential to generate funding for applied or engaged research from business, government organisations or NGOs will position candidates well for this role.

As this role also involves being part of a major curriculum development project, at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels, all candidates will be outstanding teachers with experience in a technology-enabled teaching and learning environment. Accordingly, candidates should be industry current and be able to take the lead in developing and delivering contemporary curriculum. There is an expectation that the successful candidate will have experience teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Remuneration Package: Academic Level B $108,318 to $127,809 p.a. (Comprising Salary $97,723 to $115,393 p.a., 9.5% Superannuation and Leave Loading)
