College Operations - College of Social Sciences and International Studies

This full time post is available from 1st March 2018 on a permanent basis.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to provide professional services leadership to the College of Social Sciences and International Studies in the role of Director of College Operations.  You will be joining an energetic and innovative academic leadership team with the opportunity to help shape the future of the College.  The College has ambitious plans to strengthen its research power, international profile and to continue to provide an excellent student experience across all its programmes.

To underpin these plans the College of Social Sciences and International Studies requires the very best professional services leadership and therefore successful applicants will need;

  • Excellent planning and project management skills
  • Exemplary relationship/ stakeholder skills, working closely with professional services and   academic colleagues as well as external partners
  • The ability to work creatively with other professional teams on infrastructure solutions,
  • Commercial management skills to ensure the College has a strong financial footing. 

The Director of College Operations is a member of the University's senior professional services team and will have the opportunity to lead and contribute to institution-wide initiatives.
