The School of Engineering came into existence on January 1, 2016 and comprises the previous schools of Aerospace, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering; Civil, Environmental and Chemical Engineering; and Electrical and Computer Engineering

The Role & Responsibilities

The Project Officer is primarily responsible for providing confidential, executive and overall administrative support to the Senior Manager, Planning & Resources and the two Deputy Deans (Learning & Teaching, and Research & Innovation) within the School. This position is also required to work collaboratively with the EA to the Executive Dean, the School Services team and the SEH College Office Executive Support team.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Extensive experience in providing proactive, high-level support to a senior executive or equivalent in a large and complex organisation and covering
  • Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and the proven ability to liaise constructively and effectively
  • Proven ability to draft correspondence of a very high standard to internal and external stakeholders
  • High professional standards and outstanding attention to detail in all matters
  • A degree with substantial experience; or extensive experience in administrative fields
