Applications are invited for appointment as Assistant Registrar (holding the functional title of Project Administrator) in the School of Public Health, to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field, with at least 8–10 years' professional and managerial experience in family, social and/or health services, and experience in IT project management. An excellent command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua) and a high level of communication, interpersonal and good computer literacy are essential. Applicants should be self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and be able to work proficiently with complete independence and under immense pressure. A Master’s degree in Social Administration/Public Health and experience in developing and managing innovative cross-sectoral project initiative involving large number of NGOs and community partners would be advantages. The appointee will report to the Principal Investigator and work closely with various parties, including academic and research staff members of the project, government departments, NGOs managers/supervisors, community partners and other divisions/teams, to administer the implementation of various component of the project on family and Information and Communication Technology. Responsibilities included, but not limited to, overall project management, community project development and management, training and public education, participation in research activities, liaison with Government, NGOs, and related organizations, supervision of junior administrative, research-related and clerical staff, and any other duties as assigned. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
