Applications are invited for appointment as Psychologist (holding the functional title of Educational Psychologist) in the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, to commence as soon as possible, for one to three year(s), with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
The new Hong Kong Jockey Club Trust-initiated Project is a 5-year innovative comprehensive developmental intervention for preschool children of underprivileged families. The recruited Educational Psychologist is expected to assist in the development and implementation of a culturally relevant parenting program for Chinese preschool children in Hong Kong.
Applicants should possess a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Educational Psychology from a local university or equivalent qualifications, with at least 5 years’ work experience in parenting program, early childhood assessment and intervention. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and relevant experience in early childhood research. The appointee is expected to join our project to support the design, development and implementation of parenting program and other early childhood interventions for underprivileged children.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on two or three years fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
