Deputy Director, Admissions and Recruitment
Sotheby’s Institute of Art
Attractive Salary and Package
London

Sotheby's Institute of Art is the Graduate School of Art and its Markets. We have evolved from a small connoisseurship program begun by Sotheby's Auction House in 1969 to become the leader in art business education and object based learning. Our faculty represent the best of the art world, helping students master the unique forces at play at the intersection of art and commerce. With campuses in London, New York and Los Angeles, we offer graduate level programs that are relevant to an art world that is constantly seeking individuals with depth of understanding, art historical scholarship and business acumen.

We are a small yet truly global institution which is reflected in our faculty and students who, in London alone, come from over fifty different countries. Beyond the applied expertise of our industry leading staff, it is our focus on hands on learning and immersive study outside of the classroom that defines a Sotheby’s programme. This provides our students with the tools to develop a career in the international art world.  We now wish to appoint a new and enhanced role of Deputy Director, Admissions and Recruitment. Based in London and reporting jointly to the Director of Global Admissions in New York and the Chief Executive in London, you will oversee all aspects of the daily operations of the London admissions and recruitment team.

The position plays a key leadership role in London and within global admissions across the Institute. As such it is important that candidates bring a real depth of expertise in the international student recruitment market, are willing to travel globally and have a strong dual skill-set both strategically and operationally. Beyond your technical skills and knowledge in admissions and recruitment we are looking for candidates to build on our leadership capacity and to focus on outstanding professionalism and customer service, recognising the important pathway we are providing for our students.

Closing date for applications is midday Monday 29 January 2018.
