The Global Development Portfolio is responsible for making RMIT genuinely global in reputation, operations and outlook. Under the leadership of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global Development) and Vice President, the portfolio:
- identifies, reviews and harnesses opportunities to further enhance RMIT's global model,
- nurtures RMIT alumni and stewards RMIT's philanthropic activity,
- leads and coordinates RMIT's global education partnerships,
- manages global experience opportunities for RMIT students, staff and alumni.
In addition, it connects and coordinates RMIT's presences throughout the world including RMIT entities in Australia, Vietnam and Europe (Spain) and representative offices in other countries.
The Role & Your Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Manager, Global Experiences, the Global Experience Advisor is responsible for coordinating a range of international global mobility programs to ensure exciting and relevant programming is available to students across all of RMIT and its global entities. This role works closely with colleagues within RMIT's Global Development portfolio and across the University to achieve ambitious objectives for improved student mobility outcomes. The position is a key connection for RMIT students seeking to participate in Global Experience programs, and the Advisor is an integral part of a team that delivers student-centric, proactive and timely customer service experience for all students across all RMIT global entities.
Skills & Experience Required
You will coordinate a range of international global mobility programs and establish and manage the relationship between RMIT and partner institutions and organisations to ensure achievement of group, portfolio and university goals. This role will see you contribute to the development of RMIT's Global Mobility strategy and action plan and the achievement of goals and targets. Important to this role will be your experience in developing and delivering transformative student programming in the University sector. Key to your success will be your experience with international or cross-cultural work experience and sensitivity to cultural differences and communication issues as well as the ability to exercise initiative, to think creatively, monitor and evaluate program and process performance and to meet deadlines in a complex and demanding environment
