SCHOOL OF CHEMISTRY AND MOLECULAR BIOSCIENCES
The School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences encompasses the disciplines of Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology and Parasitology. The school has outstanding success in attracting research funding, and hence provides a vibrant research environment. A major research theme of the school is Infection and Immunity, and there is opportunity for collaboration with other researchers through the Australian Infectious Disease Research Centre, a cross-institutional centre which is coordinated from within the school.
The successful appointee will work as part of a laboratory focussed on pattern recognition pathways in the innate immune system, including toll-like receptors and inflammasomes. Involvement in applications for research funding and supervision of honours, masters and doctoral students is anticipated.
Applicants should possess a PhD in the field of biochemistry or immunology. You should have a strong desire to develop a successful and highly-productive research career in molecular immunology, good general research skills, a strong methodological background, excellent analytic skills, very good writing abilities, and the capacity to work in a collaborative environment.

This is a full-time fixed term appointment at Academic level A. The remuneration package will be in the range $64,533 - $87,535 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $75,504 - $102,416 p.a.).
