The CSU Small Animal Referral Hospital (SARH) offers a range of referral veterinary services to animal owners across the Riverina and surrounds. The Centre is staffed by highly experienced veterinarians, veterinary nurses and technicians.
The veterinary nurse position will provide specialist nursing support for companion animal surgery and medicine cases. This role does requires considerable experience in both specialist and intensive care cases.
Responsibilities will include theatre scheduling and coordination, surgical pack preparation and sterilisation, maintenance of special diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, maintaining inventories of supplies, cleaning and general nursing procedures as required and administration duties.
The successful candidate will have advanced qualifications with a minimum of Certificate IV qualifications in Veterinary Nursing, 3 years general practice experience and have demonstrated relevant surgical, medical, referral and specialist veterinary nursing experience within the last 5 years. Additionally, the Veterinary Nurse will have strong communication, exceptional interpersonal skills and will contribute positively in a dynamic team.
