The University of Bristol is seeking to appoint an outstanding Head of School for the University of Bristol Law School.
In recent years, the University of Bristol Law School has grown significantly and now seeks to consolidate and enhance excellent practice across the board and to confirm its place as one of the UK's top Law Schools.  The appointed Head of School will share this ambition and will have the capacity to help the School to secure this position, as well as to meet the challenges of providing legal education in the context of the changing needs of the legal profession and student body, including changes to professional accreditation.
The successful candidate will have proven leadership and management skills and an international reputation based on an extensive track record of innovative research and teaching.  You will have a strong commitment to and track record of excellence in research and education with the intellectual and leadership capabilities to develop and implement the School’s strategy.  Working with a highly collegiate, talented and motivated staff team, the Head of School will set the strategic direction for research and teaching.  Approachable and visible, you will be required to provide decisive leadership across these areas in a period of rapid change for the Faculty, University and HE sector as a whole.
