Position Description:

Under broad direction, the Media Advisor will play an important role in increasing Flinders University’s profile, reputation and brand by engaging key audiences across multiple platforms. This is a key role working across the University to raise awareness of Flinders, its teaching and its research by promoting the University’s experts and achievements to the media, and through online and social platforms.

With a flair for identifying an interesting story and the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner, the incumbent will work closely with colleagues across the University to develop newsworthy stories.

This includes the creation of strategies to increase awareness though the crafting of not just the traditional press release, but the accompanying associated social media, blog and web story, all with the aim of driving engagement and awareness of the University and its expertise.
