We are looking for a highly motivated Research Associate to join our group to investigate the neuronal and synaptic mechanisms underpinning how the brain adapts to the ever-changing environment.
In this project, we are particularly interested in how neuromodulators influence dendritic spikes and synaptic plasticity to control adaptation of neuronal coding in the cortex. Experiments will combine in vivo electrophysiology, 2-photon imaging and optogenetics to study how dendritic spikes lead to synaptic plasticity and adaptation in the somatosensory cortex.

The successful candidate should have a PhD in a relevant discipline. Experience in in vivo electrophysiology or 2-photon imaging techniques is essential.
