Leverage your extensive experience in delivering competency-based training of the Financial Services Training Package

The School of Service Industries is comprised of six teams that deliver nationally accredited training as well as accredited short courses and non-accredited training across the Northern Territory (NT). The Teams within the School are Business (Central), Culinary Arts (Top End), Information and Communication Technology, Hair, Beauty and Retail, Tourism and Hospitality (Central) and Tourism, Hospitality and Recreation (Top End). The Business (Central) Team provides nationally recognised accredited training in Certificate I to Diploma level qualifications in Business, Financial Services, Training and Assessment and Retail.

As VET Lecturer / Workplace Assessor – Accounting you are responsible for delivering training whilst working under the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) Quality Framework and to the competency standards of the Financial Services Training Package. You will also match teaching to competence through workplace assessment and recognition of prior learning (RPL). 

In this role, you will contribute to growing the teaching business by anticipating and responding to industry training requirements, as well as develop training resources that are in accordance with CDU Quality Management System to meet training package/course requirements plus industry expectations and standards.

To be successful you require education, training and/or relevant industry experience equivalent to completion of a Diploma of Accounting, coupled with a current qualification equivalent to a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 or its successor) and the ability to obtain competencies in additional core units as required. Essential to this role is your demonstrated experience providing training either within a workplace setting or educational institution. Possession of an Advanced Diploma of Accounting or higher will be highly regarded.
