Three – dimensional (3D) printing has emerged in the biomedical field for producing medical devices using a wide variety of biodegradable and bioadsorbable materials. For the past decade implantable biomedical devices have received much attention whereby 3D printed structures deliver an active agent in a sustained release mode for long time periods.

The aim of the project will be to develop novel implantable medical devices by using our 3D printing proprietary technology. We are seeking highly motivated candidates with a strong academic background in 3D printing and additive manufacturing technologies. The candidate should have experience in engineering of medical devices followed by mechanical characterization and in vitro/in vivo biological assays. The successful candidates are also expected to:

  • Be highly motivated able to work independently or as team members in a multicellular environment
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Present results at national/international conferences and publish experimental finding at peer-reviewed journals.
