The Office of Domestic Student Recruitment (DSR) has an important mandate for attracting academically-capable students from throughout Queensland and Australia. The Office is responsible for domestic student recruitment, engagement with secondary schools, and a range of Outreach programs aimed at increasing the tertiary study and career aspirations of students from low socio-economic backgrounds.

The UQ Young Achievers Program is an exciting initiative which aims to support the tertiary study and career aspirations of senior secondary school students who might not otherwise have access to university as a post-school option. Broadly, the focus of the program is on nurturing and developing the educational ambitions of participants through mentoring, financial assistance and opportunities for personal growth and leadership development. This role will coordinate the program and our students through supporting the development and delivery of our events and engagement activities whilst leading the administration of the program.
To be successful, you will possess a degree level qualification in a relevant area with a minimum of four years relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. You will have strong communication skills with the ability to relate to high school students and professionally communicate with a wide range of stakeholders. You will have demonstrated your ability to develop key projects in a large complex organisation, with good judgement and initiative.
Eligibility for Queensland Government Blue Card and a current open driver's license are also essential.

This is a full-time, fixed term (12 months) appointment at HEW Level 7. Remuneration package will be in the range of $81,883.65 - $89,559.15 plus employer superannuation contributions of 9.5% (total package will be in the range of $89,662.59 - $98,067.27p.a.).
