The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre and the University of Melbourne, seek to appoint an outstanding researcher in the field of cancer immunotherapy as Director.

This is an exceptional opportunity to provide research leadership within Australia’s first Comprehensive Cancer Centre. The opportunity exists to build a new internationally recognised research program in cancer immunotherapy with Australia’s only public hospital solely dedicated to caring for people affected by cancer and one of the leading biomedical university Faculties in the world.

The Director of the Centre for Immunotherapy will be an international leader in cancer research with laboratory and/or clinical research expertise. They will have a track record of leadership of a significant research program in immunology and cancer. 

The ideal candidate will be a world-class researcher with a commitment to research-driven, evidence-based cancer treatment and the clear ability to advance collaborations and synergies between areas of research strength and clinical expertise at the Peter Mac, the VCCC alliance partners and the University of Melbourne.
