Advancing Access is a joint initiative across the twenty four Russell Group universities. The role holder will be responsible for managing a portfolio of high quality online resources and 'on the ground' CPD training sessions and events for teachers that will support student progression to selective universities. The Project Manager will coordinate the development and dissemination of these resources and events, in partnership with teachers and other external stakeholders, and in conjunction with member organisations and short-term consultancy assistance. The Project Manager will also coordinate and ensure the successful delivery of the overall project, in close liaison with a steering group.

The role holder will need to be an enthusiastic self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to develop strong and constructive relationships quickly. They will need the ability to work independently and as part of a dispersed team. The person appointed should have excellent planning, organisational and time management skills and the ability to manage their own workload.

Candidates should have excellent project management abilities as well as good knowledge of widening participation issues. A degree, and excellent IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, the internet and email are also a prerequisite. 

This is a full-time, fixed term position, available until 31st July 2019.
