The University of Nottingham is seeking high quality individuals to support the innovation and impact agenda and the commercialisation of intellectual property arising from engineering and the physical sciences.

The Intellectual Property (IP) Management and Commercialisation team is responsible for the identification, protection and commercialisation of IP arising from academic research at the University of Nottingham. The team manages a portfolio of 70 patent families, over 80 active technology licenses and 22 spin-out companies. 

The role holder will work alongside the IP Commercialisation Managers for Engineering and Physical Sciences, providing focussed support for intellectual property management and commercialisation in these areas and contributing to supporting the EPSRC Impact Acceleration Account. 
Based within the University’s IP Commercialisation Office, responsibilities will include contributing to the Nottingham Impact Accelerator, provision of IP-related advice and identification and commercialisation of IP. 

Candidates will be qualified to at least graduate level and possess excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. The Manager role will require demonstrable experience of managing and commercialising intellectual property in a university environment. 

This position is based on a full time, fixed-term contract for a period of three years. Job share applications will be accepted for this position.
