Job Outline

The post will provide teaching and learning support to the Faculty of Science and Engineering, including module enrolment, seminar group allocations, coursework handling, exam administration, mark processing and degree progression, and also provide administrative supports to Faculty Student Experience Committee and Faculty Career Advisory Board to improve student campus experience during the study journey.



  • Master’s Degree;

  • Experience of overseas study or working in an international setting and/or education organization;
  • Understanding the relevant;

  • Overseas study experience;
  • Solid translation and interpreting skills;

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Teaching, Learning & Student Experience Support (50%)

  • To respond to students’ and staff’s inquiry effectively in a professional manner;
  • To provide administrative supports to Faculty Student Experience Committee, Faculty Career Advisory Board and other student-support related meetings as required;
  • To coordinate with schools/departments to collect staff and module information for SET/SEM Survey online and make sure the feedbacks are in time;
  • To support coursework administration, module enrolment, exam administration, seminar group allocations and etc.;
  • To coordinate with students’ requests in course transfer, absence, Extenuating Circumstance, suspension, withdrawal and etc.;
  • To support students’ activities such as induction to exchange-in students, summer school and internship;
  • To receive and process student feedback, appeals and complaints;
  • To support paperwork of new degree application and other translation work as required;
  • Interrogate and interpret the University’s student records database to provide accurate student, module and course information as required to produce transcripts, letters and other paperwork;
  • To proactively liaise with academic colleagues to collect, collate and circulate relevant information;

Academic/ Assessment Process Support (40%)

  • To coordinate with schools and Academic Services Office to conduct administration procedure in related to curriculum development, programme/module specification, assessment and other administrative support, and make sure all the information is accurate and updated;
  • To be responsible for Qualification data tracing for progression and scholarships;
  • To liaise with HoDs and other senior staff to deal with academic misconduct cases;
  • To provide administrative support to exams, exam boards, and any relevant internal and overseas exams for the school/department;
  • To coordinate and liaise with school/department exam officers, UK home school and external examiners; and process mark for exchange-in/out students;
  • To assist in Exam Feedback session in the beginning of each semester;
  • To provide accurate exam related information to other offices/ departments/ campuses;

Others (10%)

  • To assist other team’s work in faculty office at busy time and other administrative work assigned by the line manager as required;
  • Proactively liaise with other offices/units to collect, collate and circulate relevant information as appropriate to ensure administrative deadlines are met;
  • Participate in training and staff development, as trainer or trainee as appropriate, to develop and foster relevant expertise and awareness;
  • Any other duties appropriate to the grade and role of the post holder;
