The Role & Your Responsibilities
Humanitarian engineering is a focus of all engineering programs at RMIT University. Working with philanthropic organisations, such as Engineers Without Borders (EWB), the successful applicant will create authentic experiential learning opportunities for students consistent with the strategic goals of the School. In addition, they are expected to undertake high quality teaching, become highly successful researchers and effectively engage with students, appropriate communities and relevant industries both nationally and internationally.
Skills & Experience Required
The successful candidate will hold a PhD in a relevant discipline area and possess a proven record of academic and/or professional achievement in Humanitarian Engineering, with a demonstrated ability to prepare high-quality curriculum and course materials at tertiary level for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Furthermore your ability to lead the development of innovative approaches to course delivery and student-centred learning will be essential to your success in the role. A demonstrated research record, along with an ability to generate funding and established industry links will be highly regarded.
