The Office of Marketing and Communications (OMC) enhances the success of the University by providing a central marketing and communications service. The OMC team is responsible for the University’s central marketing strategy, corporate communications and publications, media liaison, brand management, advertising, corporate events and web development.
OMC liaises with executive staff, senior faculty and institute staff, marketing and communications officers in faculties, centres and administration divisions across the University.
OMC has responsibilities across the span of University campuses and operations, nationally and internationally, with staff skilled in marketing, communications, events, web development and design. The position will support the Protocol team and provide operational event support and client service while acting as the onsite event assistant for events and visits as required. The successful applicant may be required to work evenings and weekends at various times.
The successful applicant will possess a diploma in event management or related area plus relevant experience in event planning/support or an equivalent combination of training/education and experience. You'll also have demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, have the ability to prioritise workload and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
This position is at HEW Level 4 and will be a fixed term contract until 20th July 2018. The remuneration package will be in the range $59,429.60 - $63,305.88 p.a, plus employer superannuation contributions of 9.5% (total package will be in the range $65,075.41 - $69,319.94 p.a.).
