Job Description

The Repair Technician will be primarily responsible for repairing and maintaining all dental equipment in clinical and laboratory areas at BUSDM and its remote sites. This will include maintaining, repairing and annual preventative maintenance on all dental simulators at BUSDM. The incumbent will work with a team to complete tasks set forth by the manager. Additionally, the Repair Technician will assist the Assistant Director of Facilities and Operations in all technical dental issues relating to all dental equipment; including dental clinical space, X-Ray Units, sterilization equipment and all small equipment. He or she will repair and maintain all dental equipment in clinical and laboratory areas at BUSDM ;provide routine maintenance all dental-related equipment including but not limited to X-ray Units, dental lights, dental units, dental chairs, etc.  Maintain and service all digital equipment associated with dental units including CADCAM units and  digital sensors. Assist with procuring supplies and material to supply existing equipment to prolong life expectancy. Assist with evaluating life expectancy on existing equipment along with preparing analysis of purchasing new equipment.

Required Skills

5-8 years of experience and Vocational or Technical degree required. Qualified candidates should be familiar with dental equipment, industry standards and basic knowledge of repairs to air driven equipment, sterilization equipment, etc.
