Imperial’s Corporate Partnerships team are looking for a highly motivated individual with a passion for research and technology and an appetite to develop a career in business development and relationship management who will support Imperial’s research collaborations with business.
The Corporate Partnerships team works at the interface between major corporate firms and Imperial’s inspiring academic community. Together we are seeking research funding to enable the next great discovery, leading change and looking to solve real world challenges. Imperial is a leader in industry university collaboration domain and you will be an integral member of Imperial’s Enterprise Division, working with leading global companies (major sponsors include Shell, Rolls Royce, BP, GSK, Dyson, KPMG, Pfizer etc.) and our world class researchers to develop collaborations toward new and innovative scientific discoveries and technologies.
Supporting the Faculty of Engineering and the Business School, you will be responsible for generating and supporting collaborative research opportunities with corporate partners, both directly funded and via public funders such as Research Councils and the EU. There will be a strong focus on Data Sciences, Privacy and Cyber Security and the post will be co-located at the Data Science Institute’s (DSI).
You will also support the Heads of Corporate Partnerships in both Engineering and the Business School to coordinate the College’s relationship with a number of Key Corporate Partners of the College, seeking to maximise joint value across activities in research, education and translation. The Business School is, in addition, focussed upon enhancing its corporate connectivity in research, teaching & learning and executive education. The CPA role will add value to these activities.
You will combine strong relationship skills with technical knowledge to converse with confidence with experts in both Corporate and University environments, across the subject domains of the Faculty. Having a strategic and analytical mindset, coupled with an understanding of the academic environment, research and product innovation processes, you will support the delivery of significant business wins.
