As Head of Geography, Environment and Planning, you will lead the development of a portfolio offering an outstanding student experience across our Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in Geography, Human Geography, Environmental Science, Geographical Information Systems, Planning and Regeneration.

Along with your Deputy Head of Subject, you will provide academic leadership that will deliver high impact outcomes in line with key strategic objectives, particularly those related to teaching, learning, the student experience, research and knowledge transfer:

  • Shaping Futures - through excellent academic provision and securing high student satisfaction
  • Leading Locally and Engaging Globally – by widening the horizons of our students and partners in local and international markets
  • Creating Knowledge - through developing the Subject Group's research capability

We are looking for strong credentials in academic leadership within the discipline of Geography, Environmental Science or Planning, alongside a track record of providing consistently excellent academic provision, research capability and performance.

With a deep understanding of higher education and a robust academic profile, you'll demonstrate a commitment to building connections, networks and outstanding partnerships that will put us at the forefront of the field.
