Senior Lecturer / Lecturer (PR208/17-18)
To keep abreast of the fast development of the School and to cater for the needs arising from teaching and research of Chinese medicine, the School offers two teaching positions and would like to invite applications from dynamic and seasoned scholars with outstanding academic background and research experience in Chinese Medicine.
The appointees are expected to teach a range of subjects, including Selected Readings of CM Classic – Science of Seasonal Febrile Diseases, Chinese Medicinal Formulae, Chinese Materia, Medica, Internal Medicine of CM, Different Theories of CM, Diagnostics of CM, Fundamental Theories of CM, History of CM, Ancient Chinese Medical Prose, Orthopaedics and Traumatology of CM and Tui Na, and two / three of the following subjects: Paediatrics of CM, Internal Medicine of CM, Gynaecology of CM, Surgery of CM.
In addition, the appointees are required to supervise students’ honors/research projects at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, conduct clinical practice and student training, and participate in the development of the School.
Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in Chinese Medicine or related field (PhD degree is preferable), and with rich teaching and research experience in higher education institution of Chinese medicines. Fluency in Putonghua and/or Cantonese is a must, and a very good command of written and spoken English is highly desirable.
Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two to three years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
