About the opportunity

Applications are sought for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in Representation Theory. This position is funded by an Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Project Grant “New Dualities in Modular Representation Theory” held by Oded Yacobi and Kevin Coulembier. The successful candidate will also teach one course per year, which roughly consists of 39 hours of lectures and 32 hours of tutorials per year, for the two years of the position.

About you

We currently seek a Postdoctoral Research Associate who will demonstrate the following:

  • a PhD in a relevant area;
  • expertise in representation theory, homological algebra, and/or category theory, some experience in modular representation theory is useful;
  • demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality research under limited supervision either independently or as part of a research team;
  • published research as sole author or in collaboration;
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills;

The position is full-time fixed-term for two years, subject to completion of a satisfactory probation and confirmation period for new appointees. To be considered for this position it is essential that you address the selection criteria.
