Applications are invited for the temporary post Lecturer in Strategy - NUI, Dublin PTE.
The post will be based in Singapore, Hong Kong and/or Sri Lanka and faculty will be a UCD presence on the ground and to facilitate the appointee will be an employee of NUI Dublin Pte in Singapore, not UCD.
UCD College of Business, with the support of the University and UCD International, has had a long and positive relationship with a number of Asian universities, which includes NUI Dublin, Pte. These partnerships have resulted in a series of programmes that have provided the College of Business, and the University, with great academic and economic benefits and promise to do the same in the future.
UCD College of Business has a number of operations based in South East Asia, currently Singapore, Hong Kong and/or Sri Lanka.
The UCD College of Business consists of the UCD Quinn School of Business (‘the Quinn School’) focused on undergraduate education, and the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business (‘the Smurfit School’).
The Quinn School is located on the main Campus at Belfield while the Smurfit School is located at Blackrock about five kilometres away. Academic staff teach in both schools.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in Strategy and will provide leadership in the development of that subject within the school, both from a teaching and research point of view.
Research: The Management Subject Area places strong emphasis on research leading to publication in international, peer-reviewed academic journals and in leading debate in the areas of entrepreneurship and innovation, international business, organizational behaviour, strategy, supply chain management, and technology management. Members of faculty are widely published in leading premier journals in the US and Europe annd have international reputations as leaders in their specialist areas of research interest.
Teaching and Learning: The Management Subject Area makes a significant contribution to the Colleges’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, in Hong Kong, Singapore and Sri Lanka.
Administration: assume administrative and managerial duties as appropriate to the role.
Salary Range: €50,000 - €77,000 per annum
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
Payments will be made by NUID Pte. * Note: The appointee will be an employee of NUI Dublin Pte in Singapore, not UCD.
