Your New Role:

  • Exercising leadership in the planning, implementation and operation of Industry Engagement and Community Outreach within the School of Engineering Technology Office of Engagement
  • Monitoring the relevance and quality of the Co-op Program and where necessary, taking action to rectify problems and enhancing the quality of the Program’s operations.
  • Maintaining relationships with industry personnel and School of Engineering Technology Campus Leaders to secure work placements that will provide students with a high quality learning experience.
  • Co-ordinating and development of unit material for the Industry Practice Units of the Co-op Program and conducting industry site visits as part of these units.
  • Supporting the marketing of the Co-op Program to industry, professional groups and prospective students

  • Maintaining relationships with industry personnel and School of Engineering Technology Campus Leaders to secure work placements that will provide students with a high quality learning experience.
  • Inspiring and guiding others and gaining acceptance of ideas and plans.

You Will Have:

Essential qualifications -

  • Teaching qualification or willingness to undertake a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching / Education.
  • Registered as a RPEQ or as a Chartered Engineer And Desirable -
  • Possession of doctoral qualification (PhD) in a relevant discipline
  • An understanding of current professional and educational issues in higher education and the ability to engage and work effectively with colleagues within the School and across the University to support students and promote CQUniversity
