The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a research program in the design, biosynthesis and characterisation of smart biomaterials for medical applications.
You will perform research in the area of advanced biomaterial engineering and production; and develop and establish platform capabilities to efficiently produce self-assembling protein complexes.
Applicants should possess a PhD in the area of biotechnology, biochemistry or bioengineering. You should have demonstrated expert knowledge and skills in the area of biomaterial engineering and its applications. Also essential for this role is demonstrated teaching skills at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; and evidence of contributions to research such as publications, international scientific presentations and successful external grant applications.

This is a full-time, fixed term appointment for two (2) years at Research Academic Level A. The remuneration package will be in the range $81,545 - $87,535 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $95,408 - $102,416 p.a.).
