The School of Nursing and Midwifery is committed to the development of Nursing and Midwifery practice, theory and research in positive and visionary ways. Through developing research, consultancy and continuing education opportunities, we seek to serve the nursing and midwifery professions, the health care system and the broader community.

This is a fixed term (three years), full time position based at the Gold Coast campus.

The role:

This position will contribute to the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the School including initiating and developing course material where appropriate. With a balanced profile, you will undertake high impact research in your areas of expertise while also supervising Honours and research higher degree students. Where required, this position will also act as Course Coordinator.

The person:

The successful applicant will hold unrestricted registration and license to practise as a registered nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency. You will also possess a PhD in Nursing or related area or a relevant doctoral qualification in Nursing or Education. You will have a demonstrated track record and commitment to teaching excellence. You will have proven success in attracting research grant funding and a track record of publishing high quality papers. Experience in curriculum design and development and course coordination would be desirable.

Salary range:

Lecturer, Level B: $90,697 - $107,706 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $106,116 - $126,017 per annum.
