The School of Law at University College Cork has established itself as a leading law school, with a record of innovation and excellence in research and legal education, with a significant reputation for external engagement and societal and policy impact.
The School has a distinguished history over many decades in attracting high quality students and recruiting high calibre staff nationally and internationally. Operating with a complement of twenty-five full-time academic staff, the School offers BCL, LLB, LLM and PhD programmes, in addition to an Evening BCL programme.
The School of Law invites applications from outstanding academic leaders in human rights law. The successful candidate will play a leading role in advancing the School’s international profile in human rights, including leadership of the Centre for Criminal Justice and Human Rights, established in 2006.

Appointment may be made on the Professorial Salary Scale: €110,060 – €139,502 (Scale B)
In all instances the successful appointment will be at the first point of the scale.
