The School of Nursing and Midwifery is one of three schools in the Division of Health Sciences offering undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs in the areas of nursing, midwifery and mental health at the City East, Mount Gambier, and Whyalla campuses. 

Nursing and Midwifery students are supported with their clinical learning in the unique clinician led, authentic simulated hospital and health service located on campus in state-of-the-art facilities that include fully-equipped clinical units including an emergency department, medical, surgical and post-natal units, critical care area, birthing suite, special care nursery along with a home unit and nursing/midwifery clinics. The simulated hospital environment, known as the Horizon Hospital and Health Service (HHHS), is staffed with currently practicing Registered Nurses and Midwives (clinicians). 

The School is currently seeking expressions of interest from highly skilled Registered Nurses who would like to join the HHHS clinical team. Casual employment opportunities are available across all metropolitan and regional campuses commencing in early 2018.

It is an inherent condition of appointment that the successful candidate obtains and maintains (at their own expense) a South Australian Department of Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI) Criminal History Assessment determining them fit to work with children. In addition to your salary, the University will make employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% of salary on your behalf.
